The Passive Solar Home Design Course is intended for the general public and, for those in design and construction. The instructor is a 40 year experienced solar designer-builder, Don Roscoe.

This document helps you build a system to charge mobile devices via USB with energy from a solar panel. It includes a large section on how to use the RETScreen tool to analyze your power needs and turn those into battery and panel requirements. The plans were created by the Fall 2017 class of the Nova Scotia Community College Introduction to Renewable Energy program.

The Province of Nova Scotia will announce the successful bidders in its Solar Electricity for Community Buildings Program on Friday, November 10, 2017. This community solar program invites eligible organizations to apply for a 20-year contract to sell solar electricity to their electric utility.
