SwitchPACE CIC works with municipalities and their citizens to make installing renewable energy and energy management technologies easier, make their homes and their heating and cooling appliances more energy efficient, and contribute to carbon emission reductions.
As one of Canada’s first ever Community Interest Corporations, SwitchPACE CIC has strong and permanent commitments to reduce green house gas through turnkey PACE program delivery. PACE stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy and refers to programs that offer low-cost loans which are backed by a municipal lien registered against the property. Our program design and financing structures enable SwitchPACE to be operated at no cost to municipalities and saves energy while reducing carbon usage and energy bills for its participants. We finance solar PV projects along with many other carbon-reducing retrofits.
